From Greek Myth to Modern Vision
The Greek Boy Icarus lost his wings because he flew too close to the sun. This innovation however, flies longer when it comes ‘closer’ to the sun. After the Sunseeker I, Sunseeker II and Sunseeker Duo (on my santa wishlist) the company SolarFlight shows their idea of the Sunstar. A Solar Powered High Altitude Long Endurance (H.A.L.E.) Aircraft. The test flights will be initially with a pilot on board. However all the controls will be “fly by wire”, so flying fully autonomous is going to be an option. I’m looking forwards to the first test flights.
