Ryptide drone saves your from drowning.
Ryptide is a life saving drone accessory that can carry an automatically inflating life ring to a swimmer in distress in less than 30 seconds. The system can be attached to any drone capable of carrying a GoPro camera and brushless gimbal, including the uber popular DJI Phantom. This project will offered for sale on Kickstarter in January 2015.

Parcelcopter: delivers medicines
For the first time worldwide, medications and other urgently needed goods will be delivered to the island at certain times of the day by DHL Parcelcopter. The drone is based on a Microdrones MD-1000

The Shadowview Foundation provides Unmanned Aerial Systems for environmental, conservation and humanitarian relief operations. They use different kind of drones, multirotors and fixed wings, to monitor and protect wildlife.

Ambulance-drone: a flying defibrillator
In case of a heart-attack time is of absolute essence. ‘The ambulance drone can get a defibrillator to a patient within a 12 square kilometre (4.6 square miles) zone within a minute, reducing the chance of survival from 8 percent to 80 percent.’ The drone tracks emergency mobile calls and uses the GPS to navigate.

Drones mapping after Tyhpoon
Droneaventures worked with the humanitarian relief organization Medair to carry out damage assessments, identify safe land for relocations and to take stock of recovery efforts after the Typhoon Haiyan. They used SenseFly Ebee drones.
